McCall

Here are a bunch of photos from our recent vacation. We (even Barrett! Have I mentioned how glad I am he is done with dental school?) went for about 10 days, and then I dropped B off at the airport and continued down to So Cal to hang out on the beach while B went to San Antonio for an oral surgery conference. CA pictures to follow.
Jack (pictured) and Miles sharpened sticks in hopes of spearing some suckers.
The famous double dive by Olivia and me. Also an excellent opportunity to show off my tan.

Roasting marshmallows. Then we all went to bed, leaving Laine to put out the fire.

Ice Cream Alley
Charlie was not the biggest fan of the boat. He didn't want to be restrained or wear a life jacket, but the disapproval on his face looked more like control. Like he's the captain.
Laine holds her nose so the boat ride won't feel so windy
Uncle Schuyler
Liv and puppy Charles
On Cougar Island. I watched Henry gather this bouquet of wildflowers with Laine's help, excited for him to present it to me. Instead I got "it's money. Bair's charging a million dollars to get on the bridge." Later he gave it to me anyway, and lest my heart be unwarrentedly warmed disclaimed "Bair won't take it anymore."
All of us except Aryn, Mike, and Linda on our dear friends and neighbors' dock.

The children enjoy some fireworks.

Charlie's spot.
Charlie chews his Grandpa's watch.
Laine geared up and excited for tennis. The trip turned into Barrett or I watching Charlie while the other played with the big kids. This didn't feel like much of a family vacation, so one day I made us all go play tennis together.
Sad upon realizing she's bad at tennis
Handsome.
Bair, Cal, Laine, Henry
The fours. Laine: "I had a cute face. But Cal didn't, right?" By this she means that she is actually making a designated "cute face" not that she thinks she looks cuter than Cal, with chose to display his "disgruntled face".
The sixes. These four were born within a year of one another, so there is a short time each year when they're all the same age. Here they are about a week after Paige's sixth and a week before Henry's seventh. Youngest to oldest Paige, Bair, Ava, Henry.
I swear this wasn't intentional.
Aunt Aryn, Paige, and Miles on Paige's sixth.
Laine in her element.
Anyone have movie casting connections? Doesn't Raelynn make the perfect "ugly" girl in weird glasses (fake from the thrift store) and braids who becomes suddenly hot in the right clothes and makeup? You know, the girl on screen at the beginning of the movie who has you thinking, "let me guess, I'm supposed to think that obviously gorgeous girl is ugly." Also she's only 11.

I have about a million comments, most of which have already slipped my mind... 1 - seriously great picture of the sixes.... love those kids! (and still pissed that I don't have one to throw into the mix) 2 - dad's shirt? How have I never seen that... ha!!! 3 - super bummed that I could not be there for the family pic on the neighbor's dock. Oh my, that was enjoyable to see. 4 - Lainie with the tennis racket = adorable. I guess I'll stop there. Great pics!

I got post cards too! My favorite was the ones from Fitz that read.

Stewarts
Campground at Woodland Park, CO

and that's it. And they would make it to us no problem. Remember when the world was small?

McCall looks a little too fun.
